About Me

How I Can Help

Each person is unique and has the resources within themselves to overcome obstacles and challenges in life. As a therapist, it is my goal to help you access those resources even in difficult moments, allowing you to navigate through life in a purposeful, authentic, and fulfilling way. Therapy sessions offer a safe and compassionate environment where we can collaboratively explore ways to empower you and help you achieve your goals. My therapeutic approach is positive, warm, and accepting where clients are encouraged to fully share themselves without fear of criticism or negative judgment.

My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family conflict, stress, relationship struggles, life transitions, loss and more. I work with adults, children and adolescents, families, as well as couples. Another area of expertise for me is in the realm of multiculturalism and I welcome and enjoy working closely with internationals from all over the world with diverse backgrounds. Each session will be personalized to match your needs using different evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness, existential, strength-based, person-centered and overall integrative to tailor each treatment plan. I also recently completed the training in Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which works well when your brain finds an experience (or set of experiences) too overwhelming and interferes with or limits your ability to function in, and enjoy, your daily life. EMDR can help you reset how you accept and deal with the associated recollections and feelings. These therapeutic techniques have shown incredible results in clients who experience anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, trauma recovery, life transitions, multicultural issues and more.

We will build a strong therapeutic alliance in our work where you have the opportunity to explore and uncover emotional barriers and heal past painful experiences. I consider the role of culture, environment and relationships to gain a better understanding and offer the appropriate tools to help you create a healthy and harmonious life.

Professional Background

I received my Master in Mental Health Counseling from St. Edward's University and my Bachelor in Psychology from Arizona State University. I have trained and worked with adults, couples, adolescents, and families struggling with a wide range of issues at non-profit agencies and organizations in Austin. I'm an active member of the American Psychological Association and an engaged member of the psychotherapy community in Austin. Ongoing development is important to me. As such, I regularly attend conferences and additional training seminars to access the latest evidence-based therapy techniques and provide the highest quality counseling services.

Personal Journey

Originally from Europe, I have always been drawn to the process of helping others through authentic conversation and connection and I became a therapist with the intention of offering those in need a safe space where they can be fully themselves and a chance to explore deeper into their inner world.

When I'm not working, I enjoy relaxing, traveling to different parts of the world, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
